We will be streaming the tournament live at twitch.tv/lansmash throughout the event.
What we provide
LanSmash is traditionally a BYOC (bring your own computer) event. If you want to play more games then bringing your own machine is preferable.
However with dedicated players in mind we are providing PC's for gamers to compete with!
We will have 20 machines for tournament use (Thanks to Gibzstech). Minimum spec for machines are 2ms 22" Monitors or better, ATI Radeon 7750's or better.
Internet will be shared with all competitors. In the unfortunate event of a lag spike all competitors will experience it at the same time.
What you need
Whilst we provide PC's you will need to bring all your own peripherals such as Keyboards, Mice, Mouse Pads, and Headsets.
On the provided tournament machines players will be seated next to each other. We will have a Mumble server for players to use for the event as well. It can get pretty loud at LAN's so we recommend players have good closed in headphones and decent microphones.

The more teams that signup earlier will determine what type of tournament we can run. Let us know if you're team needs to hire PC's on the signup form.
If we have many teams then the options are...
1) Double Elim best of 1 with finals on Sunday
2) Single Elim everything on Saturday

Thanks to @Ryan_Smith for posting this on Reddit! http://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/1g6l7m/wintersmash_2013_dota_2_lan_tournament_brisbane/
- There are no age restrictions
- Considering changing the prize pool split to 60/25/15 to give a third place pricing.

Could you possibly put up a list of teams currently registered or tournament size?
Also it could be possible to hold a double elim on the day with 8 teams if a schedule is kept to reasonably closely?
